The new Iain Ad Venture album, "Ride the times" is officially released in the Netherlands, April 29th, on Turtle/Challenge. Ad and I have already begun playing dates to support the release. See 'live'.

For those of you with real hi-fi equipment, the album is an SACD disc. For those like me, with normal gear, the record sounds great. Rumor has it, it will be available in all fine CD stores. A novel concept.

The new MSC album, "Kind of new" is on schedule for an end of June UK release, on the Cohort label, distributed by Universal. It will also be available in vinyl, as 4 disc set and for all you serious retros, on cassette.
We have solid major label interest in the USA for a late summer release.

Egbert Derix and I are busy shaping songs for the next Iain Matthews & Searing Quartet album, "Sticktuitiveness".
We hope to be in the studio by years end, for a Spring 2011 release. In the meantime, catch us live throughout the remainder of this year. With selected theater dates beginning in October. See 'live'.

I will also be playing some choice solo and duo dates this year, including festivals in both the UK (Devizes and Burntwood festivals ) and the USA. (Philadelphia folk festival) See 'live'.

For those of you even mildly interested in writing with me, I have my third songwriting workshop in November, at the Inn @ Lathones. St. Andrews. Scotland. The first two weekends have been loads of fun and incredibly creative. I would encourage beginners and intermeadiates to seriously consider these classes. They're centred solidly around lyric writing. Don't be intimidated, come. I'm one of you, except I do this for a living.
